ABC Trout with Lemon [120g]

Trout is a medium-sized freshwater fish, inhabiting cold waters, mainly in Northern Portugal. Our trout comes from the Rio Coura, in the north of Portugal. Trout is a well-known fish on the Portuguese menu.

The producers believe that simplicity is often a virtue, transforming the fish itself into the star of the preserve. The sauce for this preserve consists of just extra virgin olive oil with lemon—two simple ingredients widely used in the industry. When combined with trout, all the flavours align, creating a preserve with an extraordinarily fresh taste suitable for any occasion.

In the production process, fresh lemons arrive at their facilities and are cut to the ideal thickness. Each slice of lemon is meticulously placed by hand in each can, followed by the addition of trout. The preserve is then drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, finalizing the recipe. Each can undergoes a meticulous process of being closed one by one, washed, sterilized, and packed with care.

The ideal amount is placed by hand at the bottom of the can, before the fish is placed, so that when the can is turned over at the moment of consumption, the sauce bathes the fish in its entirety.
